British tennis star Emma Raducanu ends this year's campaign and will keep coach into the 2026 season.
The British player advanced to round three in three of the four Grand Slam events in the current campaign.
Emma Raducanu from Great Britain will not compete in her final two events of the year because of a medical condition that has affected her in recent days.
Raducanu, aged 22 was due to play in events in Asia but chose to travel back to rest and recuperate before starting next year's training.
These plans are set to feature trainer Francisco Roig, as the pair have agreed to work together for the upcoming season.
She underwent blood pressure monitoring in her opening round against Ann Li in Wuhan last week and stopped playing when behind 6-1 4-1 on an oppressively humid day.
She needed once more a visit from the doctor at the Ningbo Open this week, where she fell in a three-set match to Zhu Lin, a Chinese wildcard in the opening round.
Raducanu was also moving with clear difficulty in the deciding set against Zhu due to a lower back issue that has troubled her on several occasions in 2025.
Such performances signaled a promising season, in which Raducanu rose into the top 30 globally for the first time in more than three years, concluded with three straight losses.
The athlete was close to victory with three match points before losing to Jessica Pegula in the third round in last month's Beijing event.
She secured 28 matches this year and advanced to the semis in Washington, but the highlight of her season was at the Miami Open in March.
The British number one reached the quarter-finals of a premier WTA event, overcoming Emma Navarro, the eighth seed en route then falling in three sets to the world number four Pegula.
She was coached by trainer Mark Petchey from the Miami event through Wimbledon, with Roig taking over in time for the US Open.
The original arrangement with Rafael Nadal's former coach was for the remainder of the year but the collaboration persists, with a training block pencilled in late this year.
She mentioned that the trial session with Roig post-Wimbledon was like a "secret mission" as they tried to keep the meeting secret.
She nearly succeeded to defeating top-ranked Aryna Sabalenka at their initial event as a team in Cincinnati in August.
The coach also accompanied Raducanu in New York, where she reached the third round before being beaten by Rybakina, champion at Wimbledon in 2022.
