Liverpool's Star Offers Statement to Squad, Says Curtis Jones
Curtis Jones has shared that the Egyptian forward said sorry to the group of players following the controversy from his recent interview.

The striker was dropped from a vital match after criticising the club and suggesting his relationship with manager had soured.
“Salah is an individual and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘If I’ve affected anybody, I apologise.’”
The manager has refused to disclose on whether he received a personal apology from the player.
Team Unity
Jones insisted that the squad's reaction stayed normal. “He was the exact same Mo, his demeanour was positive and everybody was exactly the same with him,” the midfielder explained.
Jones also noted that a teammate fighting for a place is a positive trait. “I get that there are different methods you can express yourself,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just be on the bench, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”
Team Form
The team's performance have remained strong in the matches since the initial controversy. The player is convinced the Salah's words were never meant to destabilise the squad.
“When there’s been any sort of anger, the source has been from a place of caring,” he finished. “That chapter is closed and we’re building chemistry, playing well and starting to win games.”
