The City of Angels experienced widespread festivities after the Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-match World Series championship. Fans worldwide joined local residents in jubilation, marking the first time in a quarter-century that a team has achieved consecutive championships.
Celebration Parade Attracts Massive Turnout
Los Angeles area celebrations included a procession through the city center on the morning of the parade, a ticketed rally at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings across the city.
Online footage show thousands of Angelenos flooding city center avenues, many carrying handmade banners and team flags. The team was seen traveling proudly on a double-decker bus through the crowds, raising the championship trophy high.
“My focus is already about the next championship we’re going to achieve this,” Shohei Ohtani stated through an interpreter.
The parade route concluded at the stadium, where the players emerged to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard providing music and the artist cruising a light blue vintage Cadillac around the field.

Celebrations started well before the procession, with Dodgers fans setting off flares in the streets of the city center on Sunday night.
The World Series MVP, named the World Series’ Most Valuable Player, commented directly about the win.
“We refuse to lose,” Yamamoto stated. “I adore this team. I love Los Angeles.”
Varied Responses and City Unity
In contrast, Mark Walter was met with a less warm welcome at the rally. Recordings from the event seem to depict him walking onstage to a mix of applause and boos, with jeers interrupting his speech.
The World Series acted as a bright spot in what has been a challenging year for the city. An estimated quarter-million people attended to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to team member Freddie Freeman, supporters this year demonstrated equal or greater support.
“It seems it’s nearly twice from last year,” Freeman said. “These fans are crazy. It’s truly amazing to be a part of this.”
