Nigel Farage Accuses Educators of ‘Poisoning Our Kids’ on Race Issues

The political figure stated that educators would initiate walkouts within weeks a success at the polls for his party, accusing them of “harming young minds” by telling children that black pupils are victims and white children oppressors.

At a gathering for a private US Christian college, the politician expressed his viewpoint on the UK education system, claiming that the “radical left-wing” had “now in control of our education system”.

“I’m anticipating a walkout by educators very quickly after securing a victory,” Farage commented in response to questions.

“They are corrupting young minds. They are telling them to be ashamed of their country. They inform an eight-year-old black child that he is a victim and little Oliver, who is white, who is eight that he is an oppressor. They create division, not uniting us. They are feeding this harmful mindset.”

Reacting to these assertions, Daniel Kebede dismissed the idea that the schools were under Marxist influence as “absurd”. He pointed out that any strikes must relate to educators’ working conditions, and doubted whether the party would target these right after taking office.

“The politician has crafted his political career on dog-whistle politics and now, similar to other figures, he is lining up teachers and their unions for a fight,” the union leader said.

“This is highly reckless. Neither I nor our union – push critical race theory as he claims … If he were to lead the government he would undermine state services, including education … and the outcome would be catastrophic for education and children.”

Reform, which tops surveys by about 10 points, has provided limited specifics on its educational plans and seems not to have appointed an education spokesperson.

However, his comments indicated the group would reform the educational framework. Farage declared: “We face an enormous task with schooling – absolutely herculean. Moreover, we can’t do it in six months or a year; it will take us years, years to turn this around.”

Farage expressed that younger generations are receptive to critical thinking, but millennials were “absolutely hopeless”.

Honoring a conservative activist, he commented: “My goal for schooling is to foster independent thought – to educate individuals that multiple perspectives exist and you make up your own mind as opposed to current practices where views are labeled good or bad. This is a huge undertaking in both Britain and America.”

Reform has previously clashed with the UK’s largest teaching union, after the union leader labeled them “extremist and prejudiced” and dismissed Farage as “a cheap imitation”.

Farage has accused the union head with being “an avowed radical” … someone who is absolutely determined that our children should be poisoned at school, their thinking tainted about everything to do with this country” and has argued that the union is trying to indoctrinate teenagers against Reform.

Roughly a million individuals work in schools in the UK, with educators comprising half and the others teaching assistants and support staff. The major education union has hundreds of thousands of members.

Countrywide walkouts over teacher pay and conditions in recent years caused widespread disruption in schools and extensive missed instruction for students.

During the American gathering, the Reform leader also vowed to promote the digital courses of the institution in the UK. He said organizations like it were “key to resistance”, noting: “I mean this. I will help attract vast numbers of young people to your online courses. I make that commitment now and I’ll do that.”

The institution, a small private Christian college, offers free courses. According to its online description: “A scientific, literary, theological, political, and moral education is vital for well-being and to maintain the benefits of civil and religious liberty. The college furnishes these excellent programs for no charge to every interested learner.”
