President Trump stated on the weekend that he has extended an invitation the relatives of a Guard member killed last week to come to the White House.

He added that he conversed with her parents and they were “deeply grieving”.

US army specialist Beckstrom, 20, was lost her life in a violent incident on last Wednesday in DC.

Her comrade, Staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, is still in the hospital in grave state.

The commander-in-chief stated he’s discussed a White House visit for the families of both individuals of the West Virginia National Guard.

“I stated: ‘When you’re able, because that’s a tough thing, arrive at the White House. We’re going to pay tribute to her,” the president told reporters. “And likewise with him, no matter the outcome.”

Community members assembled over the weekend at the high school in West Virginia to remember Sarah.

Both she and Wolfe had been working with the state guard as part of Trump’s federal initiative to assist law enforcement in Washington DC.

Remembering Beckstrom

“She was the type of pupil that educators wished for. She conducted herself with calm resilience, a warm expression and a positive energy that encouraged people around her,” Jarrod Hankins, the principal of her former high school, told the press. “She was kind, compassionate and always eager to help others.”

Funeral arrangements for Sarah are yet to be finalized.

Law enforcement have indicted a twenty-nine-year-old individual from Afghanistan with one count of first-degree murder and charges of attempted murder while armed.

Beckstrom, from Summersville, graduated from Webster County high school in mid-2023 and enlisted soon after, working as a MP with honor, per the state guard.

“She had a lot of kindness and she absolutely had courage,” he told the gathering at the service. “Though her life lasted far too short, she has left a mark that’s going to be remembered always.”
