Fresh particulars have surfaced about the tragic demises of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and visual artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were located at their Brentwood, Los Angeles home on Sunday.

As detailed in an account citing a confidential source, a practitioner arriving for an appointment initially became concerned after not being able to enter the home. The practitioner then reached out to the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who lives nearby.

Upon entering the house, Romy discovered her father's body. Accounts indicate she then fled the house in anguish, not realizing at that moment that her mother's body was also present. A companion who had accompanied her promptly called 911. Afterward, first responders discovered Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Developments

Authorities have formally accused the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with two counts of murder in the first degree, along with the alleged use of a deadly weapon, reportedly a knife. He is now detained and denied bail.

The person close to the family also disputed several initial details. The source indicated that while Romy Reiner told first responders that her brother Nick lived in a detached unit on the property, she did not identify him as a suspect at that moment.
