England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the this year's Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

The three finalists have been honoured for their exceptional achievements over the last year.

Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the very first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a unprecedented innings.

Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his breakthrough year.

The shortlisted athletes were announced live on a national radio breakfast show.

The champion will be announced during a live broadcast on the Sports Personality of the Year show on December 18th.

The show will be televised from 7 PM GMT.

Agyemang's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Football

A mere three months after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to European Championship victory.

She was introduced as a substitute to score vital last-gasp goals in both the quarter-final and semi-final.

Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.

Subsequently, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the best young player in Europe.

She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.

Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.

"To be named a finalist for this honour is an honour," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."

Littler's Profile

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

The year started for Littler in sensational style as - aged 17 - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.

He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.

His success continued - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the first time.

At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, breaking the previous record.

"Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a big honour," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a proud moment for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."

Perrin's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and surged to prominence with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.

Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.

It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.

Perrin ended up as runner-up in the run-scoring charts and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.

"I'm deeply humbled to be nominated for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it encourages more young females to get into cricket."
